The court actually let a rapist suggest that if the two women he raped had just locked their doors, it never would have happened. It is their fault he raped them. May that be their lesson.

I read this on Shakesville too a week ago. My blood literally bloils when I think of his statement “I hope they take something positive away from this”. I want to say so much, but then I think of his two victims and I can just wish them peace and courage.
More proof that we don’t live in a post-feminist culture. There is obviously a LOT left to do.
It makes my blood boil too. The cruelty of our culture – not just the rapes but that their rapist can speak to them, can wish them “a good lesson,” that people in our culture will AGREE WITH HIM – is just too much.
